According to a recent study yahoo news reports that if the trend for the past 3 decades continues all U.S. adults will be overweight in 40 years. This is quite alarming considering the fact that today there is many more resources available for weight loss than ever before.

What are the possible reasons for this rapid increase in the number of obese adults?

A possible explanation may be that it’s now easier than ever to have an unhealthy diet. Due to the increasing amount of packaged food that is loaded with saturated fat and simple carbs that can easily produce fat.

The increase in fast food with bigger portion sizes is a valid explanation for the increasing problem. Fortunately, some fast food companies have added healthier foods to their menus and also changed to healthier oils.

As far as physical activity is concerned we are lazier than ever? Why because we simply spend most of our time sitting. Like at a computer or watching tv. We even use more machines and technology so that we don’t have to do as much physical activity. Maybe 40 years from now we can sit around and not have to do anything that involves any physical activity.

It comes down to the choices we make we can ether choose a healthy lifestyle or not.

So is this really a possible situation?
Or can we start changing our lazy and unhealthy lifestyle to ensure this doesn’t happen?
